It goes without saying that the Energy & Utilities sector is a major area of focus for our Middle East operations. With the introduction of Smart Cities, and the scale and ambition of new builds and upgrade projects, the need for up to date and accurate asset data is paramount. Furthermore, given the size and critical nature of utilities infrastructure, modern survey techniques such as LiDAR allow far more accurate and detailed survey models to be created over large geographical areas. These models are then labelled and attributed following BIM principles and naming conventions, thereby ensuring that they can be used as live, editable asset and facilities management tools. This in turn delivers significant efficiencies in terms of operational savings and enhanced service delivery.
